With collaboration at its heart, we set up The Southern Sustainability Partnership in 2015 to help to drive the message that operating under a more environmentally focussed strategy, with more socially conscious values is key to the future of your organisation. Prior to working in corporate sustainability, I had extensive experience in the field of telecoms, sales and project management for both private businesses and large public organisations including the NHS. Pulling on my knowledge, I assessed the requirements of the customer and matched their needs to the expertise required to get the job done. Adopting good telecomm-unications technologies reduces the need for face to face interaction, therefore reducing the carbon footprint of a business - this became a passion and led to the development of this partnership. At this time I also became director of a carbon reduction initiative for the then Borough of Poole, which is where I met my now business partner Lynda Daniels.

A need to formalise and greatly increase the support that was out there for organisations back in 2015 led to the development of The Southern Sustainability Partnership based on the fact that there were so many initiatives and groups telling you what you should do, without offering a firm platform from which to help you to do so. Prior to setting up this company I headed up the marketing department for a company in the renewable energy sector for 6 years, serving both a domestic and commercial marketplace. Alongside which I ran a sustainability networking group for suppliers. At this time I also became director of a carbon reduction initiative for the then Borough of Poole, which is where I met my now business partner Anita Potten. Prior to this I have extensive PR and marketing experience in the electronics assembly sector, travelling the world in support of the promotion of some of the world's leading organisations working in this field. But it was the move to the renewable energy sector that I found my passion for environmental management and social value.

Now a graduate, Giorgia has been an enormous asset both as a researcher and also as support during all our events. Georgia is keen to pursue a career in the field of sustainability and has been an enthusiastic member of the team with her keenness to be involved in a leading UK sustainability events platform.
