Is coming to the Big Green Event!
The popular south-coast clothes swapping event, Swish It! will be showcased at The Big Green Event this summer.
On Saturday 30th July visitors can attend the first ever Big Green Event at the O2 Guildhall in Southampton for a fun and free eco-friendly day out.
Two south coast businesses, ethical PR Agency, Warrior Agency, and sustainable stylists, Buddy & Noo, have partnered to host this sustainable fashion event with all profits going to the Wardrobe Foundation who uses donated clothing to put together clothing gift bags for women in need of clothing support.
For just £5
Attendees can donate pre-loved clothes and pick up a whole new wardrobe. This sustainable event promotes reusing clothing rather than contributing to the fast fashion industry, fast fashion is one of the biggest current environmental issues, with the fashion industry producing up to 10% of the world’s carbon emissions. The UN estimates that creating just one pair of jeans uses the equivalent of 10 years of drinking water for one person (source: BBC). That’s why sustainable fashion events like Swish It! are so important to encourage people to reuse and repurpose their preloved clothing wherever possible.
So, at this year’s Big Green Event, bring along any of your clothes that you don’t wear anymore and go away with a whole new pre-loved wardrobe – all for just £5!
