Hosted by The Big Sustainability Expo organisers, this initiative is the brainchild of its directors Lynda Daniels and Anita Potten, as a way of giving back for the support they receive for hosting their flagship event. An art competition, for children up to 9 years of age, 12 winning artwork pieces culminate in a calendar, which is sold with the profits for charity.
What’s different about GHS is whilst we realise there is a lot of old and tired equipment being used out there and to some people maintaining it may not make sense, but we then have the expense of exposing of it, the cost of new equipment when that product may still be serviceable. GHS approach to the maintenance and service schedules instead of following the traditional route our software and monitoring system will monitor the equipment and send us updates when the equipment runs inefficiently so for example: A normal building would have 4 services a year on its air conditioning but it may only require 3 services due to its usage etc this is saving you on the 4th service and saving Fuel, cost, man hours, disruption. MeadowSweet was founded in 2016 by Sophie Townsend from her studio on the South Coast. It’s a family business, with her mother growing flowers in their Hampshire cutting garden and her husband running the website. MeadowSweet uses 100% British flowers and foliage year-round for its flower subscription service, and their beautiful weekly arrangements are sent out to customers around the country from our own source and from other artisan growers as well as larger flower growers in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Cornwall and Norfolk.
Caldera, based in Fareham, is an innovator in decarbonising industrial heat, with a focus on food & beverage, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, paper, textiles, laundry and alumina refining. Our Storage Boiler is an electric boiler with built-in thermal storage, allowing charging and discharging to be decoupled to optimise use of low-cost renewable power (whether on-site generated or grid supplied). We provide a clean, cost-effective alternative to fossil fuel boilers with an output from 90–184°C (10 bar steam). Our solutions help manufacturers electrify (and decarbonise) more affordably, often without the need for grid connection upgrade.
