July 10th 2024 will see the region’s first Young People’s Sustainability Awards to be run in partnership with The Southern Sustainability Partnership and Marwell Wildlife, alongside Barratt Developments PLC supporting as Ambassador.
The project follows a partnership with The Southern Sustainability Partnership in 2023 for the Big Sustainability Awards held at the then Hilton Ageas Bowl in Southampton, when the event raised more than two thousands pounds for vital conservation work carried out by Marwell Wildlife.
The Young People’s Sustainability Awards will see schools from both Hampshire and Dorset take part in an art competition designed to demonstrate the knowledge of our young primary school age children when it comes to nature, wildlife and climate change.
Twelve winning art posters will culminate in a 2025 nature calendar, the sales of which will go towards valuable Marwell Wildlife projects. With local businesses called upon to sponsor a month of the calendar to ensure the events future.
