The Southern Sustainability Partnership is pleased to partner with Bournemouth University’s Centre for Sustainable Business Transformations (CSBT) for the second year in 2026.  
 
With their sustainability courses launching in 2026, the centre is designed to deliver cutting-edge interdisciplinary research and knowledge exchange that addresses the needs of business, policy and society in their quest for a sustainable future. The centre benefits from a diverse mix of experts who create knowledge to enable businesses and policymakers to devise

Events to Partner with Barratt Redrow Homes for 4th year.

The Southern Sustainability Partnership is excited to announce its continued partnership with Barratt Redrow Homes as Ambassador. Barratt’s is the nation’s leading housebuilder, creating great new places to live throughout the country.

The Big Sustainability Awards 2026 Gala Dinner announced

Following two years as part of the organiser’s Expo, the Gala Dinner element of the Awards is back for 2026.

To be held on the 24th September, alongside Ambassador Barratt Redrow Homes, The Southern Sustainability Partnership is excited to bring it back in its original format.

Director, Anita Potten: We have missed the Gala Dinner, and it seems our supporters have too. So, we are back by popular demand.”

Not only is the event back, but the venue is too as the team heads back to St. Mary’s Stadium where the awards have taken place against the excellent backdrop of the football clubs Mick Channon Suite. 

 

The Big Sustainability Expo 2026 date announced

Supported by our Ambassador Barratt Redrow Homes, The Southern Sustainability Partnership has announced its 2026 date is the 29th October 2026 to be held at the Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl. 

To take part, as an exhibitor, speaker or delegate do get in touch and add this date to your calendar.

Hot on the heels of the 2025 Expo, plans are already well under way to bring you an even more vibrant and exciting event next year.

The Big Sustainability Awards Honours Fifteen New Organisations 

Supported by Ambassador Barratt Redrow Homes, The Southern Sustainability Partnership has announced fifteen new winners at their 2025 Big Sustainability Awards, held at the Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl.  

Strong environmental advocate Jon Fisher of the New Place Hotel received the organisers’ prestigious Star Award for his unwavering commitment not only within his own workplace but also through his ongoing support of the organisers’ annual Sustainability Expo.

Further winners from the private sector represent those of 250+ employees50+ employees, and up to 10 employees, categories include:

Dupont in the category (250+ General Sustainability) – Awarded for smarter and responsible healthcare packaging

SMI in the category (50+ Sustainability Management) – Workwear and PPI company’s decarbonisation journey

Two outstanding winners from the public sector included:

  • Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust (Public Sector Waste Management) Creation of Sustainability Store
Barclays supported the 2025 event and presented two awards, as did Utilita Energy and eco print company Stanbury Chameleon. Organisers, The Southern Sustainability Partnership: This is the 7th year of this vital initiative.  Organisations put a great deal of effort into the reduction of their environmental impact, or what they offer other organisations to enable them to do so. We are proud that this is such a valuable business resource alongside our Big Sustainability Expo and will actively be looking for sponsors and nominees for 2026. Lynda Daniels, Director at The Southern Sustainability Partnership: Having championed the groundbreaking work coming from our region’s Universities, we are delighted to be working more closely with Bournemouth and supporting the CSBT programme led by Marcjanna Augustyn, 
Professor of Management and Head of CSBT.  I was delighted to present at their most recent conference, where the programme covered important topics such as the AI, productivity and sustainability sandpit. An area we are looking closely at highlighting at the 10th Expo on October 9th, where Bournemouth University will host a stand to continue this conversation with our delegates and launch their new business-focused training programme.

What makes us who we are?
The Women’s Sustainability Partnership membership group represents dynamic and passionate professionals both looking for, and offering, real support and mentorship for those working in…or passionate about…sustainability within their organisation and their lives. The group meet four times per year in an idylic location near Southampton, with membership open to those at the very beginning of their journey, through to those well traveled on this path. The group offers very real collaboration with networking, shared experiences and the opportunity to be inspired by great female presenters.

Our Premier Sustainability and Awards Event Re-locates Dorset Office to Dorset Sustainability Centre. The only one of its kind in the county.

The Southern Sustainability Partnership, host to one of the UK’s longest running Expo and Awards in the corporate sustainability space, has set up its Dorset Hub in the county’s only sustainability technology showroom. With offices in both Dorset and Hampshire, the company celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year and will open the doors on the next event October 9th at the Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl. Supported by Ambassador Barratt Developments PLC and Partner Utilita Energy.

Co-Director, Anita Potten: There is a great synergy between our business and Sustechs (Sustainable Technology and Solutions Centre), run by David Saraby from his sustainability showroom in Branksome, Poole.  We have known and highly respected David for many years and his company has exhibited at the Expo since its inception and, in his own right, achieved our Special Recognition Award for his work during the 2024 event.

David Saraby, Sustechs: Our Centre is delighted to welcome the premier sustainability and awards event team to share our premises at 441 Poole Road, Poole.  Having known and collaborated with the team for the past 15 years, we deeply appreciate their commitment to sustainability and excellence. We look forward to organising open sustainability breakfast meetings and conferences, creating opportunities for meaningful discussions and collaboration. We look forward to an inspiring and impactful partnership and urge businesses in the region to take advantage of the opportunity to get involved with the centre and to be part of the journey. 

Co-Director, Lynda Daniels:  This is the one hub in the county of Dorset where organisations from both the public and private sector can 

come for sound advice on their sustainability energy projects and aspirations.  We now welcome visitors who would also like to find out more about our events – both visiting and exhibiting or entering or sponsoring an award.  

The 2025 Expo will host up to 100 different exhibitions stands, an educational speaker theatre, EV showcase and dedicated show magazine.
